Dionne Thomson is the Simcoe County Circles Coordinator and as part of this poverty reduction initiative she believes that no one should live in poverty. Through this initiative families and communities can take charge of their destinies. And if given the right tools and support, economic stability can be achieved. Through an approach that combines strategies and services along with the individualized support of our dedicated staff, volunteers and the resources of organizations and communities, we can create an authentic relationship based environment that educates, empowers and equips our community members to move up and out of poverty successfully. Dionne will be sharing with us the value and successes of the Circles initiative across North America and will be explaining the number of ways our community can make a difference. The work being done through the Circles initiative in Simcoe County, specifically in Midland, Penetanguishene, Tiny and Tay, is inspiring and Dionne will share with us how we can be a part of this great work!
